
ABOUT ME
Andrew McGuinness is a sports broadcaster and writer from Haddonfield, New Jersey. He has been broadcasting live games since becoming a public address announcer for his town's youth football team in 2015.
He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in May 2024. At Notre Dame, Andrew called over 50 games on ESPN+ for Fighting Irish Media and WVFI radio. He has experience calling Notre Dame football, hockey, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, and volleyball.
While at Notre Dame, Andrew gained extensive experience in sports writing. He served as Sports Editor of Notre Dame's student newspaper, The Observer, as a senior, and accumulated over 250 bylines for the paper. His work has also been published on Daily Faceoff through a program with the Professional Hockey Writers Association.
Since graduating, Andrew has continued broadcasting for the North American Hockey League's Philadelphia Rebels and Saint Joseph's University. Since graduating, Andrew has expanded his role at The Hockey Writers, becoming a credentialed writer for the Philadelphia Flyers. He currently works for the Philadelphia Phillies. Additionally, he has also worked the last two Olympics for NBC Sports, first as a researcher for the Paris Olympics and then as a digital editorial producer for the Milan Cortina Olympics, writing for the official NBC Sports Olympics website.
Andrew also has experience as a host on Notre Dame Television's weekly Shamrock Sports talk show and hosted a weekly hockey radio show, Five for Fighting Irish, on WVFI. He has also hosted a bi-weekly coach's show for the Rebels.
